Member of the German Parliament Hon. Fell to Visit Taiwan
At the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Hon. Hans-Josef Fell, Member of the German Parliament, will visit Taiwan from April 14 to 17, 2010.
During his stay, Hon. Fell will call on President of Legislative Yuan Hon. Jin-Ping Wang, Minister of Environmental Protection Dr. Shu-Hung Shen, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Lyushun Shen, among other governmental officials. In addition, Hon. Fell will visit the Chairman of the Taiwan-German Parliamentary Friendship Association Hon. Yu-Fang Lin, and give a speech in the public hearing held by Member of Legislative Yuan Hon. Li-Wun Cheng, participate a symposium at the Environmental Protection Agency, and attend a dinner held in his honor by Director-General of the German Institute Taipei Mrs. Birgitt Ory. The purpose of this trip is to exchange viewpoints regarding environmental protection between Taiwan and Germany, as well as discussing renewable energy issues with officials of the Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Hon. Fell belongs to German Green Party and has been a Member of the Parliament since 1998. Currently Hon. Fell serves as an active member of the Germany-Taiwan Friendship Group and Speaker for the energy and scientific policies in the Green Party. Hon. Fell relentlessly promotes environmental protection affairs and plays a crucial role in the German political arena.(E)
