Israeli Aggression on Gaza
Despite more than 20 months having passed since the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which began following events that led to the killing of several individuals and the taking of Israeli hostages by Hamas in October 2023, the Israeli blockade on Gaza has, in reality, has been in place since 2006.
This blockade has been enforced through border closures and restrictions on fuel, food, and water entering the Gaza Strip, forcing its residents to seek ways to break the siege by any means possible.
Israeli Prime Minister has announced a complete ban on the entry of food, water, and medicine into Gaza.
We condemn violence from any party, we also strongly denounce the use of thirst, starvation, and the prevention of medical supplies as tools of war, which have resulted in the deaths of dozens of civilians and children due to extreme deprivation.
We, the APGF Green Parties call for:
- The immediate opening of borders and the entry of all humanitarian aid that has been waiting at the border for over two weeks.
- Allowing volunteer medical teams to enter Gaza.
- Permitting the entry of medical equipment and essential hospital supplies into Gaza.
Furthermore, we demand:
- The full implementation of a ceasefire.
- The immediate start of the second phase of hostage exchange negotiations. • The urgent commencement of reconstruction efforts and the provision of adequate housing for
- Full respect of human rights and international humanitarian laws
