Australia and 11 other nations are continuing negotiations on what would be the largest trade deal in the world.

The proposed Trans Pacific Partnership would take in the economies of Australia, the United States, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam, Chile, Canada, Mexico and Peru.

The Abbott government is keen to have the deal signed off by the end of the year, but the Australian Greens are calling for the government to pause all discussions and reveal the full details of the proposed agreement.

Thea Cowie spoke to Greens Senator Scott Ludlam about his concerns with the Trans Pacific Partnership.
