Global Greens call for meaningful climate action


KATOWICE--Representatives from Green Parties around the world gathered for COP24 in Katowice, Poland, are calling for meaningful action to meet the clear challenge of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Special Report on 1.5 degrees. Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada and co-chair of the Global Greens Parliamentarian Association, will hold a press conference with her Global Green colleagues:   
  • James Shaw, New Zealand's Minister of Climate
  • Lisa Badum, Green Member of the Bundestag and speaker for Climate policy
  • Dorothy Nalubega from the Uganda Greens and convenor for African Women's Green Network.
  • Kim van Sparrentak from the Global Young Greens
  • Ewa Sufin-Jacquemart, Director of the Polish Green Foundation
